Paris: Montparnasse Cemetary

IMG_0995[1]I’m staying in the 14th Arrondissement of Montparnasse, where there is quite a lot of, shall we say, focus on the hereafter. Today, I visited the Cimetière du Montparnasse where many of France’s intellectual and artistic elite are buried.

It was a lovely, crisp day in Paris, perfect for strolling. During my wander I saw some of the most unusual resting places I’ve ever encountered. Some are beautiful, others, intriguing, some just made me wonder.

Coming soon, my visit to the catacombs of Montparnasse. More Paris posts
