If not now, when?

Putting ‘life’ into midlife…
Sometimes we reach a point in life when our biggest question becomes “If not now, when?” For me, that was the nagging question for a long time. Sometimes I made changes so I could live my dreams, often times I waited for signs that conditions were ripe for taking action. Mostly, the opportune time just seemed to stay off in the distance as a future goal.

Within 2 weeks I had sold my place and the universe lined up the most spectacular home I had ever lived in. I stayed there 5 years and not a day went by that I didn’t pinch myself and think “How the heck did I end up here!”

Another time opportunity took me by surprise was while showing my friend Brigitte a magnificent full length silk dress that I just bought on sale for a steal at 80% off. I considered aloud that the only place I could likely wear it would be a cruise ship. To which she said enthusiastically “I’ll go!” Four months later we were cruising the Gulf of Mexico and having a blast.

Recently, opportunity literally knocked on my door when I was told the lovely home I was living in would be torn down. In less than a minute I was planning an extended trip to Europe – an unfulfilled dream that I had first written about in the 4th grade!

This website is my way of sharing my midlife (gawd, I hate admitting that) adventures with friends, family and strangers in the hopes that you too may be inspired to answer your own “If not now, when?” question with gusto that will lead you to joy and fulfillment.
