Video: Malala Yousafzai, Heroine

“One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world” — Malala Yousafzai, 16 year old shot by Taliban extremists

Malala Yousafzai at just 16 years of age survived what most of us never face in our lifetimes — she was shot in the head. In the video clip below this remarkable young woman addresses the United Nations less than a year later and gives her very mature perspective about the rights of education for every child, to which she graciously includes children of the Taliban extremists who shot her.

Amazing and inspiring, this remarkable young woman has turned her potential tragedy into a reason to triumph. Bravo Malala! You go girl!
